Permafrost Education Action Group

Permafrost Education Action Group

Motivation & Background

The Permafrost Education Action Group (PEAG) was launched to develop a permanent permafrost training program to support the scientific and engineering needs of the Canadian Permafrost Association’s members and partner organizations. The PEAG aims to establish a comprehensive training program that will support capacity building and knowledge exchange across the Canadian permafrost community and beyond.

Objectives

1. Identify the most important education and training needs for different audiences, both within CPA membership and external to it. 2. Develop an education/training program structure

3. Outline course content and format (duration; online, field or in class) and identify potential instructors

4. Propose a business plan to cover costs and possibly generate revenues
